PixelExperience 11.0 20210107-0012 Official Polaris Beta Build

Device Specific Changes:

  • Etude kernel: Op.11 No.2
    • Linux 4.9.249
    • updated Energy Model with real-world measurements from freqbench
    • synaptics_dsx_force: optimized irq handling and fixed some bugs. Touchscreen on JDI panels should be more responsive
    • scsi: ufs: only create one pm_qos object for irq
    • reverted back to stock notification LED dts bindings
    • toned down the top-app boost that was increased in early android 11 bring-ups
    • DO NOT use a third party kernel without proper support for Pixel thermal hal
  • Fixed “OK Google” hotword enrollment
  • Reworked light HAL
    • switched to aidl implementation from hidl
    • rewrote light HAL to use stock LED breathe effect from Xiaomi. LED blinks should be smooth and natural.
    • fixed LED priority so that new notifications will cause LED to blink even when the phone is charging (charging used to keep LED on constantly regardless of having notifications or not)
  • Implemented cached double-tap-to-wake path
    • double-tap-to-wake feature now has lower latency and is more reliable
  • Cleaned up and merged CAF changes to init scripts
    • merged usb init changes
    • removed nonexistent entries like ro.data.large_tcp_window_size, clkscale_enable, zram_swap, oom_reaper
    • changed sysfs control node to system:graphics
    • changed rate_limit_us to {up,down}_rate_limit_us, following kernel changes
    • disabled watermark_scale_factor
  • Switched to CAF ims implementation
  • Removed obsolete dex settings

Feature Update Highlights:

  • None

Gapps are included. Vendor and firmware are included. Dirty flash or incremental updates should be fine if you are on my previous PE 11 build.
